The start of 2017 sees Madonna del Latte being admitted into the Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (FIVI – Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers).
The FIVI represents the vintners and supports their best interests in promoting authentic Italian wines of the highest quality.
To gain admission into the FIVI, the vintners must fulfill the following criteria with their own wine-producing means and facilities: cultivate the vineyards; harvest the grapes; transform their juices into wine; bottle the wine; and assume the responsibilities of selling the produced wines with their own labels.
By making it their utmost priority to cultivate healthy grapes, FIVI vintners endeavor to reduce any unnecessary additives in their winemaking processes.
In its dedication to uphold this essential code of ethics, the FIVI is not only regarded as a highly respected and strongly influential advocate of the artisan vintner in an increasingly industrialized world of wine and winemaking, but also perceived as a guarantor of high quality in the eyes of discerning connoisseurs and wine lovers alike.
The FIVI logo, which features an image of a winegrower carrying a basket full of grapes, whose shadow takes on the shape of a bottle, best embodies the FIVI’s philosophy. Soon you will find this logo on our labels in our next wine bottling cycle.
