The Italian sun in a bottle

Tuesday, 15 September 2020

The Orvieto wine has deeply rooted winemaking traditions dating back to the Etruscans. It was one of the favourite wine of Popes and aristrocats, while D'Annunzio defined it as "Italian sun in a bottle".

This wine is traditionally produced from grapes of the autochthonous varieties Procanico, Verdello, Drupeggio and Grechetto, which ripen on over 30 year old vines.

It is a fresh and fruity wine with an elegant minerality and a well-integrated acidity. It is perfect as an aperitif, with appetizers, fish and seafood but it also goes well with white meat and vegetable dishes.
