We are certified organic!

Monday, 25 January 2021

Ever since we started 20 years ago, we have always tried to minimize the negative impacts of our wine and olive production on the environment. So far, we just did it out of our personal urge to work in this manner, but starting with the 2020 vintage our products will officially be certified organic.

Over the past years, we have installed smart systems including photovoltaic panels, solar panels and a wood burning system, running on wood from our own forest, in order to work almost entirely with renewable energy. We have introduced a composting system that turns all organic waste into precious fertilizer for our cultures. In addition, our chicken are great producers of fertilizer, besides of being cute egg and meat producers. We grow our own zero emission fruit and vegetables. We have set up a system that collects all rainwater from roofs and terraces, which then is used for irrigation. Slowly but steadily we are working towards a full circle production with minimum environmental impact. Isn’t that just beautiful?

Now even if you do not care all that much about the environment, I am sure you still like knowing that what you put into your body does not harm you. With all the measures described above, we also avoid the use of harmful substances, which usually would in part end up in the final product. No use of chemically synthesized products in the vineyard and in the cellar of course means that there cannot be traces of them in the wine you drink.

We would simply like to say THANK YOU to all of you loyal customers who continue to support our efforts by drinking our wines. We are a 100% committed to continue working as close to nature as possible while keeping the quality of our wines on the highest standards!
