Description

Ieva [yea-vah] is the name of our baby girl born in September of 2021, we could not think of a better way to celebrate the birth of our beautiful daughter than dedicating a wine to her.

The name Ieva means bird-cherry tree in Lithuanian, a tree with stunning, white, almond-scented blossoms clustered along short stocks. These flowers develop into reddish-black cherries which birds love.

This wine is a very special Orvieto Classico Superiore. When the grapes have reached perfect maturation, we personally hand select the most beautiful bunches of the autochthonous grape varieties Grechetto and Procanico (Trebbiano Toscano).

We ferment 225 liters of exclusively the free run juice, the finest part of the juice which comes off the press with no pressure applied, in a lightly toasted French oak barrel. The quality of the wood is fundamental, so of course we use some of the finest oak on the market. Only the best is good enough for Ieva!
